Please join us for the 2010 Tertiary Writing Network colloquium held at Victoria University of Wellington, Pipitea Campus.

The theme for the Colloquium is:

"Writing the future: genres, professions and texts"

• moving towards learning outcomes: curriculum design, teaching methodology, materials, feedback & dialogue
• evaluating & advancing approaches to teaching writing
• the path from teaching or researching to presenting and publishing
• the creative writing continuum
• the critical analysis/critical thinking continuum

We invite all writers in the academic, creative, and professional genres to participate in a colloquium exploring the links between teaching, research, and creative and professional practice.

This year the Colloquium is being run by a team of faculty and staff from Victoria University of Wellington, The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand and Whitireia Community Polytechnic.

Join with writing colleagues from New Zealand, Australia and beyond in New Zealand's major Tertiary Writing Colloquium for 2010.

Register for the ALANZ Symposium

This year's Applied Linguistics Association of NZ (ALANZ) Symposium will be held at Victoria University of Wellington on Wednesday, 1 December 2010. Registration is $60-$100. Teachers of writing are welcome to attend both the TWN Colloquium and ALANZ Symposium.
